May Merriment
I have been lucky enough to make some fantastic friends at a Disney chat board called To Infinity and Beyond. For the second consecutive May we met in Walt Disney World. I had a fantastic time! right up until it was time to say good-bye. That is the worst part. boo-hoo Is it May 2007 yet?!
I brought back a few pictures
and I mean few
It is time once again for EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival. The fabulous Donald and Daisy are featured at the parks entrance this year. Aren't they cute?!
The festival also included a butterfly house. Finally a bug in Florida that did not freak me out.
My favorite pavilion in Epcot's World Showcase is Japan. I love the architecture. And the shop is huge and full of fun things. Candy, Kimonos, Shoes, Socks, Toys and more
Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom there is a new ride called Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Holy Cow! it is fantastic! You are going forward thru some ruins then OMG the track is broken! What will we do?! Before you know it you are firing backwards thru the mountain. We have stopped again. Over head we can see the shadow of something very large and furry. He's breaking off pieces of the track behind us! Now what?! We launch forward continuing the wild ride thru the mountain. Holy Cow! What is that ahead of us?! It's the Yeti! Wohoo! Good work Disney.
Here are some shots of the ride's exterior
While the rest of the group was enjoying Mickey's PhilharMagic at the Magic Kingdom I browsed in the shop outside the theater. They had a great 'Crabby Yet Lovable' Donald Duck line. I could not resist this hat. Do I look mad?
After a long day running around Disney World, some ice cream was in order. We headed over Disney's Beach Club for a Kitchen Sink Sundae. The sundae contains a scoop of every flavor of ice cream in the place, Hot Fudge, Caramel, one can of whipped cream, chocolate chips, sprinkles, brownies, angel food cake and a mountain of cherries and is served in a kitchen sink. It is great. It was no match for this group.
